Beggining was in the 80's, but first artists were so underground that i found out that when i watched first documentary about CRO rap few months ago. Most of them made their sucess but later, as techno /house DJs.
90's really started it all. Most legendary group turned out to be TRAM 11 made of Target and General Woo. Than Bolesna braća made of Bizzo and Baby Dooks- they had real bang beats and few hits, but rhymes are zero;what they do the best is beats and production, so they did it for some big names. There were also Stoka i Nered ,they had huge demo Spremni za rat, very funny and promising debut album, but they went on their separate ways, doing drug rehab but no work on rhymes. Stoka is making his money now doing big concerts, such as: 50, snoop, alicia keys, lil kim, and in april beyonce. He is also doing songs for sports such as: football and handball. Nered is doing song about how he cares about our capital city Zagreb, flow the same always, short lines, rhymes like biti- kriti. Tram 11 god separted too after second album. Target was real big idol than, now u can see him ambushing you with he's new mixtapes so he could earn 4 dollars cca. thats is very sad. he also done some time in the sanitorium. General Woo did two solo albums still labeled, nothing much. Listeners are people who doesnt care about the rhyme, but they like his love towards to town Vu(woo)kovar that was destroyed in war in 90's.He also helps some new kids on the block, supporting them to rap.
this song signed them in first label. talking about money,something like all about benjamins.
radić,marulić and starčević are history people done big thing for our country and they are imaged on our money.
this is quiet nice beat, and the featuring singer is Josipa Lisac,she's somthing like the oldschool diva,very excentric but respected. this is song for the Zagreb.
There's also El Bahattee, friend of all those people. You can all see them in video Hrvatski Velikani. Bahattee done 2 albums. First was rap, second was AMEN with almost metal backgrouding. He had some political issues so Amen was response to that. After that he got out of the rap and the whole Croatia wants him back, to me he was almost the greatest.
Expression balkan is not very good thing... in croatia say we will never get to EU,coz we are balcans..means people who are barbarians, they dont have good maners,something like rednex.. so he says if u want to do success ,you cant do it by education but with guns or illegally.
There's always TBF. They are from city Split, croatian seaside. Their lyrics are flegmatic, funny, wise. They have some other influences, with little bit of rock n roll.thex perform with band.

Those groups above were making those albums i mentiond, but they started on hop hop movement in 90s.
New artists ans still on the scene are: Elemental, Edo Maajka. later Sinestet ,Connect , Khan and Acc ( those groups in last 2 years been labeled).
Elemental
they were 2 men and a woman group. Later Inkognito went solo and made Sinestet with Magellano.
they were founded in 1998, first album 2000 Moj, Njegov i Njezin svijet (mine,his and hers world). in 2002 they had album svijetla velegrada ( lights of the big city) feated by all those groups i mentioned before.. Coz all rappers sticked together than.
in 2004 they had album male stvari ( little things) without Incognito, Remi and Shot made a band,something like roots and had many hits that was liked by people who werent into rap, like major audionce.Six singles were taken and they made a huge success: ‘Napokon’, ‘Romantika’, ‘Tako Lijepa’, ‘Sama’, ‘Iz Dana U Dan’ and ‘Male Stvari’.
in 2008 new album pod pritiskom (under pressure). loved by people too. first single is zašto te imam.

its not sexy song,its funny song when remi met a guy in the bar and she starts flerting, and than she takes him home but the guy is such an amateur in bed, and talks how guys talk about sex the day after like it was smthing special,but it was 5 minutes and he didnt do nothing right. they dont provide songs like lil kim about sex, but makin fun of it.
talking when they all sticked together, in 1996 years. when hip hop was rare on the street, and money was not the part of hip hop.this is croatia classic too, just like tram 11 and hrvatski velikani song.
whenever they sing that song..whole crowd goes in delirium,its some strange vibe that reminds people and everything is good again,just as long the song lasts.
